Village of Westfield – Water Pollution Control Facility Upgrade Project
This project included significant upgrades to the wastewater treatment process, improving system efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance. Major improvements included:
- Aeration Basin Rehabilitation
Replacement of the existing asphalt liner in the aeration basins with a new concrete liner to improve durability and extend the service life of the basins. - Raw Sewage Pump Station Upgrades
Replacement of the raw sewage pump station influent pumps with new high-efficiency pumps, including all associated piping and valving. - Headworks Improvements
Replacement of the existing comminutor with a mechanically cleaned bar screen to improve solids removal and reduce maintenance requirements. - Vortex Grit Removal System
Installation of a new vortex grit removal system to enhance grit separation and protect downstream treatment equipment. - Diffused Aeration System
Replacement of the existing mechanical surface aeration system with a modern diffused aeration system for improved oxygen transfer efficiency and reduced energy consumption. - Turbo Blowers & Automated Dissolved Oxygen Controls
Installation of turbo blowers, ultrafine bubble diffusers, and an automated dissolved oxygen control system to optimize aeration performance and process efficiency. - Backwash Pump Replacement
Replacement of two (2) existing backwash pumps with two (2) new pumps to improve filter backwashing reliability and overall system performance. - Filter Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of existing Filters #1 and #2, including installation of a new underdrain system, new filter media, replacement filter valving, and all associated electrical and control equipment.
Village of Fredonia – Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements
This project included significant upgrades to the wastewater treatment process, improving system efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance. Major improvements included:
- New Dual-Mode Belt Filter Presses
Replacement of the existing dissolved air flotation (DAF) thickeners and centrifuges with two (2) new dual-mode belt filter presses. - Process Pump Upgrades
Replacement of existing process pumps with new, high-efficiency pumps. - Aeration System Improvements
Replacement of the existing fine bubble membrane diffuser elements with new fine bubble ceramic diffuser elements in all four (4) aeration tanks. - Filter Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of existing Filters #1 and #2, including installation of a new underdrain system and new filter media.
Village of Attica – Wastewater Pump Station Improvements
This project focused on improving the reliability and performance of the pump station through key equipment replacements and infrastructure upgrades. Major improvements included:
- Bar Screen Replacement
Removal and replacement of the existing mechanically cleaned bar screens and associated control systems. - Valve Replacements
Removal and replacement of the check valves and gate valves serving each submersible sewage pump to improve system reliability and operational efficiency. - Pump Rail Assembly Upgrades
Removal and replacement of the guide rail assemblies for all six (6) submersible sewage pumps to ensure safe, efficient pump installation and maintenance.
